In the foyer of the head office of the Country Roads Board (CRB) in Melbourne, Victoria, were two Rolls of Honour commemorating staff members who served in both World Wars. When I started working there in 1961, I often glanced at them but the names meant nothing to me.
The stories I tell here are about those colleagues who perished and those who survived.
David Jellie
David started with the two World Wars and then extended his research to cover the Vietnam and Korean Wars. His work is presented in the following Chapters.

Memorial Wall in Ballarat
Bill Saggers after visiting Balarat: I J O’Donnell’s name is engraved on a lovely memorial wall located on the southern boundary of the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. The wall commemorates those Australians who were imprisoned in wars.
